Organizations Supporting Women in STEM

National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT)
NCWIT is an organization that supports women interested in pursuing IT related fields. They have an award for both high school (NCWIT Aspirations in Computing) and college (Collegiate Award) students.

UMBC Center for Women in Technology (CWIT)
CWIT is a program which supports women students through scholarships (CWIT and Cyber Scholars), community, and professional development. CWIT also engages in outreach to high school students.
UMD Maryland Center for Women in Computing (MCWIC)
MCWIC supports diversity in computing through research, education, outreach and partnerships. In addition to supporting to college students, the program also participates in K-12 outreach.
Girls Who Code (GWC)
Girls Who Code is an organization supporting women interested in coding and computer science. GWC has after school clubs for 3rd-12th grade girls.
Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
Technica Hackathon
Technica is an annual all-women and non-binary hackathon hosted at the University of Maryland College Park.
